New Suits from SHIKI

Shiki Design releases some unique and stylish suits for men. Hand-textured fabric combined with sculpted parts and options complete the outfit.

Each suit is created with a hand-textured fabric of florals. The suit jacket comes in an open and closed version with open and closed versions of the sculpted collars and bottom of jackets. The pants come in a full length and short length version as well as a belted and non-belted version. Optional sculpted leg cuffs can also be added for the short versioned pants. Choose from 5 chic colors. The suit in TAN is shown here with the Cross & Lace t-shirt.

Shiki and Project Tents HAITI Benefit Expo

Things move fast in life and for Second Lifers, sometimes it's even faster. It's been a little over four months since Haiti was devastated by an earthquake. It may seem long ago but hundreds of thousands of Haitians can still use a helping hand with even the most basic of needs like safe and dry shelter.

Shiki Designs will be participating in the Project Tents HAITI Benefit Expo. The Project Tents HAITI Benefit Expo, which will run May 21st through May 30th, is a fund-raising event for ShelterBox. ShelterBox is a recognized international fund-raising organization that provides quality shelters for those displaced by disasters.

It's a good cause and we are honored to be involved along side many other top designers in SL. The designers have been asked to offer exclusive items for the fundraiser expo and Shinichi has created this glittering bronze version of his gorgeous "Stardust" dress design. We think you'll love it and invite you to join us in lending a hand to those that can use it.

The FLOWERS shirt from Shiki Design

Guys, are you wearing the same old stuff day in and day out? Well, it's time to elevate your style up a notch. Introducing the long-sleeved shirt that's simply called FLOWERS. The FLOWERS long-sleeved shirt is a hand-textured piece adorned with petals of colorful flowers. It mixes a colorful hand-created texture with a masculine western-shirt cut and a lively hued blue color as the background. These days there are so many beautiful places to explore in SL. It's been a year since I've done any exploring myself so I decided to check out the showcase. I found myself wandering around this remote island that's all about nature. It was a treat to just relax and unwind by surrounding myself with nature.

The Monsoon dress

Walking along the streets of Ginza requires you to be properly and fashionably dressed. Spring has finally arrived in the city and it's all about florals. However the rainy season is also right around the corner. The Monsoon dress will take you from spring to the rainy season all the way to the end of summer. 

MADOKA wears the MONSOON dress, which is one of five dresses in the floral collection from Shiki Design. The floral dress is created with sculpted shoulder parts and a sculpted skirt.

Sneek-a-peek at Shiki's New Look

If you've noticed the construction equipment around the the Shiki sim, you may have wondered if something new was coming for Spring 2010 and you would be correct. Shiki fans all know by now that Shinichi is always heading forward with the Shiki brand and the latest move is a complete remake of the Shiki main store.

This ambitious project has been commissioned to acclaimed builder, Kere Delcon. Kere will update the architecture with a fresh urban design that utilizes some of the previous texture work of designer Ryo Verne and adds his own keen sense of design as well. When asked about the inspiration for the new Shiki, Kere tells us:

It comes from Shinichi's designs themselves - bold, fashionable and modern without being stuffy or restrictive. The use of concrete gives the space an urban industrial feel, but the decorative elements make it intimate and colourful, complimenting the clothing lines.
The display spaces are designed to move people through the seasonal collections while latest releases and special offers can be found adjacent to the entrance hall.

We're excited about it and think Shiki fans will love it. The new design will also incorporate our new Shiki partner brand, Aska Shapes. The transfer will begin Friday May 7 at 3.30AM with re-opening expected within a few hours. We are planning a re-opening party later this month so check back on this blog for detail.
